Acrodermatitis Test<\/strong> (LAD)
\nPuppies Affected by Lethal Acrodermatits (LAD) have characteristic skin lesions and fail to thrive. These lesion consist of Erythema and adherent scales, primary on the feet, elbows, hocks and muzzle. Hyperkeratosis of the foot pads also occurs. Dogs with LAD are also immunodeficent, so frequently suffer from skin infections.<\/p>\n

The new DNA test for Lethal Acrodermatitis is available at the Animal Health Trust – this is a very easy to do cheek swab test and is currently on offer throughout January with a discount code reducing the price from \u00a348 to \u00a335.50.<\/p>\n

Well worth taking advantage of this offer, it\u2019s a once only test that I believe works the same as the PLL test in identifying and breeding with clear, carrier and affected.

What is a Bullie Walk?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A bullie walk is a walk organised by one of our co-ordinators or supporters in their local area. Everyone and every breed is welcome to attend. Its a good way of meeting people and supporting our rescue. Walks can vary in length but are often around 2 – 3 miles of steady walking with a stop at a caf\u00e9 half way or at the end. All dogs are welcome, even if they are not too friendly with other 4-legged pals, so don’t be put off if you have a grumpy pup.<\/p>\n

Walks are updated here and on our Facebook<\/a> page. 100% of all money raised goes back into the rescue.<\/p>\n

\nMeeting in the small free carpark on Rothervalley way (not the main carpark inside Rothervalley)<\/p>\n

Walk will start at 11:30am \u2744\ufe0f Everyone and all breeds welcome \u2744\ufe0f
\nAll donations will go to Adopt a bull terrier rescue<\/p>\n

We are aiming to:
\nRescue, rehabilitate and re-home less fortunate Bull terriers.
\nRaise awareness in the breeding community to show that these dogs are a wonderful family pet.
\nRaise awareness with the public on the treatment of various conditions.
\nPromote a support group to offer help and advice.
\nEveryone and every breed is welcome to attend the walk.<\/p>\n

As always we promote good behaviour, please don\u2019t forget poo bags!<\/p>\n

There will be a donation of \u00a32 per dog but feel free to give whatever you can afford.<\/p>\n

We are going to have a limited number of wrist bands and car stickers from Adopt a Bull Terrier rescue available to buy on the day too.<\/p>\n

Often these dogs get a bad reputation, but they make wonderful pets.
\nAnd of course all proceeds go to Adopt a Bull Terrier rescue.<\/p>\n

One of our ‘BULLIE’ dog walks will took place in Cleethorpes on September 25 2016, to raise awareness and funds.
\nWe are aiming to:<\/p>\n
